This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the Respondent to file Final Report in Crime NO.186 of 2017 dated 10.10.2017 before the concerned Court within a time to be fixed by this Court.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.
3.It is the case of the petitioner that on the complaint given by the petitioner, the respondent police registered a case in Crime No.186 of 2017 under Sections 406 and 420 of I.P.C on 10.10.2017. While so, the defacto complainant has filed the present petition for a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation in a time bound manner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
4.On reading of the FIR, it is seen that the petitioner alleged that the accused had fabricated a document dated 22.01.2007. Taking into consideration the nature of the allegations in the FIR, this Court cannot issue a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation, within a time bound manner. However, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation as expeditiously as possible and after completing investigation, file a charge sheet or closure report as the case may be under due intimation to the defacto complainant provided there is no any legal impediment.
