O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to furnish adequate Police Protection to the safety and security of the petitioner on the basis of her complaint dated 26.07.2018.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

3.It is the case of the petitioner that the property in question was inherited by her from her father through "koor chit' and that respondents 3,4 and 5 are harassing the petitioner in order to grab the property. In this regard, the petitioner has given a complaint dated 26.07.2018, to the second respondent and thereafter, filed the present petition for police protection.

4.In a case of this nature, police protection cannot be granted and it is always open to the petitioner to approach the civil Court, in the light of the Division Bench judgment of this Court in Sri La Sri Siva Subramanyananda Swamy Vs Sri La Sri Arunachalaswamy [1993[1] MLJ 274].

5.Hence, this petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedies in the manner known to law. However, if there is no complaint is pending as against the petitioner, the second respondent shall ensure that no physical harm befalls the petitioner at the hands of respondents 3, 4 and 5.
