.. Respondents H.C.P. has been filed for a writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents herein to produce the body or person of the detenu by name Kannan, aged about 26 years before this Court and set him at liberty.

O R D E R
(Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN, J.,) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the wife of the detenu, namely, Kannan, aged about 26 years, praying that this Court may be pleased to direct the respondents to produce the said detenu, before this Court and to set him at liberty.
2. It has been stated that the detenu, who has been working as a Helper in a Printing Press, has been missing since 18.01.2016. Therefore, the brother of the petitioner had lodged a complaint before the 2nd respondent police, on 21.01.2016. The said complaint had been registered by the 2nd respondent, in Crime No.27 of 2016, as a ''Man Missing'' case. petitioner has preferred the present Habeas Corpus Petition before this Court.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, had submitted that the 2nd respondent police are taking effective steps to trace out the detenu.

In view of the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, we find it appropriate to close the Habeas Corpus Petition, as no further orders are necessary. Hence, the Habeas Corpus Petition is closed, however, it is made clear that the 2nd respondent shall continue with the investigation to trace the detenu and keep the petitioner informed about the same. -s/d- Assistant Registrar True Copy Sub-Assistant Registrar tsi To:
