Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records on the file of the 2nd respondent in detention order No.C3/D.O.No.04/2016 dated 31.1.2016 and direct the respondents to produce the detenu namely, Ashok Kumar, Male aged about 27 years, son of Gopinathan now kept in Central Prison, Vellore before this Court and quash or set aside the same and set him at liberty. O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by G.CHOCKALINGAM, J.] The petitioner, who is the father of detenu, Ashokkumar, Son of Gopinathan, aged about 27 years, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the 2nd respondent dated 31.01.2016 against his son branding him as a "Goonda" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982]. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the 2nd respondent as against the son of the petitioner dated 31.01.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.1272, dated 22.03.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
