Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the fourth respondent to cancel the patta in the name of 6 to 8 respondents in Patta Nos.585 & 4039 for the property in Survey Nos.373/2B, 372/3, 372/4 and issue a joint patta in the name of the petitioner and his brothers by considering the petitioner's representations dated 16.07.2012, 03.06.2013, 02.07.2013 and 20.07.2024 within the specific period of time fixed by this Court. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the fourth respondent to consider his representation dated 20.07.2024 and pass necessary orders for cancellation of patta issued in the name of the respondents 6 to 8 in respect of the land situated in S.Nos.373/2B, 372/3, 372/4 at No.86, Pakkam Village, Tiruvallur Union and District.

According to the petitioner, the above mentioned property was purchased by his father Subramani vide sale deed dated 27.09.2001 and later on it was settled in the name of the petitioner and his siblings by the settlement deed executed by his father on 20.10.2010. However, the patta was wrongly issued in the name of the respondents 6 to 8 in respect of a portion of the above mentioned land by the Revenue Department. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation seeking cancellation of patta issued in the name of the respondents 6 to 8, but the same has not been considered. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1 to 5 would submit that the last representation of the petitioner dated 20.07.2024 will be considered and in accordance with law, within the time fixed by this Court.
4. In view of the stand taken by the petitioner, the fourth respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.07.2024 and pass final orders, within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing necessary notice to the petitioner as 3/6
well as the respondents 6 to 8.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
