Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the entire records relating to the Refusal Check Slip dated 18.04.2023 in RFL/Perundurai/26/2023 issued by the respondent herein and quash the same and consequently direct the respondent to register the Sale Deed dated 18.04.2023 within a time frame.

O R D E R

The impugned Refusal Check Slip dated 18.04.2023 issued by the respondent is under challenge in the present writ petition.

2. The petitioner states that he had presented a Sale Deed for registration. The registering authority returned the document along with the impugned order stating that the writ petitioner has failed to produce the original document, as mandated under Rule 55 of the Registration Rules.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner is ready and willing to produce the certified copy of the original document for the purpose of verification. There is no impediment for the registering authority to verify the certified copy of the original document and proceed with the registration. Thus, the respondent shall verify the certified copy of the document, if any, produced by the writ petitioner and accordingly proceed with the process of registration in the manner contemplated.

4. In view of the facts and circumstances, the impugned Refusal Check Slip dated 18.04.2023 issued by the respondent is quashed and the respondent shall complete the procedures within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
