This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to file a Final Report in Crime No.304 of 2018.

2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate.

3.There was a theft in the house of the petitioner, pursuant to which, on the complaint given by Punniyakotti, the landlord, the respondent Police registered a case in Crime No.304 of 2018 on 14.04.2018 under Section 457 and 380 IPC against unknown accused. Under such circumstances, the petitioner is before this court with the above prayer.

4.Today, Mr.M.Saravanan, Gr.II 26710, V-6 Kolathur Police Station is present before this Court.

5.In a case of this nature where the accused has not yet been identified by the police, no protection as prayed for by the petitioner can be granted.

Commissioner of Police, Villivakkam is directed to monitor the investigation in Kolathur Police Station Crime No.304 of 2018 that is being conducted by the Inspector of Police, Kolathur Police Station and take effective steps to nab the accused.
