The petitioner herein seeks a direction to 2nd respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 24.09.2018 within a time stipulated by this Court.
2. The petitioner filed an application before the 3rd respondent for cancellation of the patta issued in the name of one Agusthin and Rashid in respect of lands situated in Survey No. 72/1 in Periyamampattu Village, Kallakurutchi District. The said application was rejected by the 3rd respondent. The said appeal was filed before the 2nd respondent on 24.09.2018 and the same has not been disposed till date. Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.
3. A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that against the order passed by the 3rd respondent only revision would lie to the 2nd respondent and hence, the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 24.09.2018 would be treated as a revision and the same would be disposed of in accordance with law if the petitioner comply with the return. 2/4
