When the matter came up on 20.06.2018 the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that they have handed over the bundle to the client. Therefore, the Registry was directed to print the name of the petitioner in the cause list and verify any vakalat has been filed on behalf of the petitioner and the matter was directed to be listed on 02.07.2018. When the matter was called on 02.07.2018 there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Hence, the Registry was directed to post the Writ Petition today (03.07.2018) under the caption 'for dismissal'. Today, even when the matter is listed under the caption "for dismissal" and the matter is called twice, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed for non-prosecution. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. However, there will be no orders as to costs.
