O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by M.JAICHANDREN, J.) This habeas corpus petition has been filed, by the mother of the detenu, praying that this Court may be pleased to direct the first respondent to produce her son, namely, E.Viswanathan, aged about 35 years, before this Court, and to set him at liberty.

2. The petitioner has stated that her son had been missing from 14.10.2015. Therefore, she had lodged a complaint, on 8.11.2015, before the first respondent. Since no effective steps had been taken, the petitioner has preferred the present habeas corpus petition.

3. A status report, dated 24.3.2016, has been filed before this Court, on behalf of the first respondent, enumerating the steps taken by the first respondent, to trace the detenu.

4. We are convinced that the first respondent is taking necessary steps to trace the detenu, as stated in the status report, filed on behalf of the first respondent. In such circumstances, we are of the view that no further orders are necessary in the present habeas corpus petition. Hence, the habeas corpus petition stands dismissed. However, the first respondent shall continue the investigation and take appropriate steps, to trace the detenu, in accordance with law.
