ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.01.2023.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, a representation was filed by the petitioner to take necessary action against the 6th respondent from draw the water from Kulappam Varathu vaikal, Kulappam Ayakat through Iyer Sluice to the petitioner's land. However, the said

representation was not at all considered by the respondent till date. Hence, this petition.

3. In reply, the learned counsel for the respondent would submit that the petitioner's representation will be disposed of by the 1st respondent within a period of 12 weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the respondent and also perused the entire materials available on record.

5. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 16.01.2023 and dispose of the same, after affording sufficient opportunity to the petitioner as well as respondent, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. It is made clear that the petitioner's eligibility shall be determined based on the records of the 1st respondent. If the petitioner's name is included in the Ayakat, certainly, he is entitled to avail benefits.

7. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No cost.
