O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioners on 22.05.2025 wherein the petitioners are seeking for rectification/correction of the survey number mentioned in the sale deed executed in favour of the petitioners' father on 11.12.1981.

2. Heard Mr.T.Prabhu, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.D.Veerasekaran, learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondents.

3. The case of the petitioners is that the Housing Board executed a sale deed dated 11.12.1981 in the name of the petitioners' father, which was registered as document No.5937/1981. Thereafter, the petitioners' father settled the property in favour of the petitioners by virtue of a settlement deed dated 11.10.2011. The petitioners realised that there was a mistake in mentioning the survey number in the sale deed. According to the petitioners, instead of mentioning as Block-12, Town Survey No.28/1, it has been wrongly mentioned as R.S.Nos.24 (part) and 26 (part) of Ayanavaram Village. Hence, the petitioners made a 2/4

representation on 22.05.2025 in this regard for correcting this mistake. Since the same was not acted upon, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the respondents to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 22.05.2025 and take a decision within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
