ORDER

When this matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that subsequent to the filing of this contempt petition, the petitioner was permitted to retire from service and the retirement benefits were also paid to him and hence, nothing survives for adjudication.

Contempt Petition No.1458 of 2021 submissions so made on the side of the respondent. According to him, the respondent has not paid the entire retirement benefits to the petitioner, as claimed by him.

3.In response to the above, the learned counsel for the respondent drew the attention of this court to a copy of the communication of the respondent dated 11.01.2022 sent to the petitioner, by which, the petitioner was directed to appear before the authority concerned with all the required documents so as to consider his claim relating to unsettled service benefits, if any.

4.Recording the above submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this contempt petition is closed, leaving it open to the petitioner to approach the authority with the required documents for considering his claim.
