This petition has been filed for seeking permission to effect the substituted service through paper publication in a Tamil daily against the respondent.

2. The petitioner is the maternal uncle of the minor child by name J.P.Maha Vidya. Her mother is Jamuna died on 18.04.2022 and subsequently, the minor child is under the care and custody of the maternal uncle who is the petitioner herein. The respondent is the father of the child and according to the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, his whereabouts are not known. It is further submitted by the petitioner that the respondent divorced the deceased mother of the minor child during her life time on 22.04.2010. It is further submitted that the respondent got married to someone else and he is not in touch with the petitioner's family or with the minor child.

3. The court notice and the private notice have been returned as 'no such person'.

4. Being not able to trace out the correct address of the respondent and after serving notice to the respondent's last known address and found it unsuccessful.

5. The petitioner has filed this application seeking permission for substitution of service. In view of the circumstances mentioned above I feel it is appropriate to allow the applicant to effect substituted service.

6. The petitioner is permitted to issue paper publication in one issue of Tamil daily 'MAKKAL KURAL' having wide circulation in the State of Tamil Nadu within a period of two weeks, indicating the next hearing as 21.08.2023.

7. List the matter on 21.08.2023.
