Heard Mr.V.I.Prasanth, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.M.Senthil Murugan, learned counsel who represents the respondents.

The prayer of the petitioner is for a mandamus simpliciter, directing the respondents, being the officials of TANGEDCO, Perambalur District, to consider petitioner's representation dated 30.01.2023. Therein the petitioner seeks compensation for his son Karuppasamy for the injuries sustained by his Page 2/5
son on account of leakage of electricity in a motor fixed in premises belonging to R5. No notice has been issued to R5. However, his interest will not be prejudiced, as they have been duly taken note of and addressed by means of this order.
3. In the counter filed by the fourth respondent, they accede to the position that the representation filed by the petitioner on 30.01.2023 was received on 09.02.2023 by the fourth respondent. Hence mandamus is issued to R4 to hear the petitioner and R5, to take note of all the attendant circumstances in which injury to petitioner's son was occasioned and dispose of the representation filed by the petitioner in accordance with law and all extant rules and regulations, within a period of six weeks from date of receipt of a copy of this order.
