ORDER
The petitioner/A1, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 11.11.2024 pursuant to the non-bailable warrant issued in S.C.No.103 of 1/4
2020 on the file of the learned Sessions Judge, Magalir Neethimandram, Fast Track Mahila Court, Villupuram, in connection with Crime No.183 of 2022 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 347, 376(1) of IPC, seeks bail.
2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that Non-bailable Warrant was issued against the petitioner on 16.03.2021 and executed on 11.11.2024. In this case, all the witnesses have been examined and the case is now posted to 24.07.2025 for defence side witnesses and the trial itself would be completed within a short period.
3. It is seen that Non-Bailable Warrant was issued against the petitioner on 16.03.2021 and he was secured on 11.11.2024. In this case all the prosecution witnesses were examined, the petitioner was also questioned under Section 313 Cr.P.C. and the case is now posted for defence side 2/4
witnesses. The trial itself would get terminated in a short period. Finding that the petitioner has been absconding for more than three years and the trial is at the advanced stage, this Court is not inclined to entertain this bail petition and the same is dismissed.
