Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to grant patta transfer for the land in Old S.No.220/B1 New S.No.220/B1A, Bodichipalli Village, Krishnagiri District, based on the petition dated 19.12.2023.

O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the second respondent to grant patta in his name in respect of land situated in Old S.No.220/B1 New S.No.220/B1A at Bodichipalli Village, Krishnagiri District, by considering his representation dated 19.12.2023.

2. According to the petitioner, he purchased the land with an extent of 1330 sq.ft from one Chinna Kullappa under registered sale deed with the registration No.1030/1999. Subsequent to the purchase, he submitted an application for transfer of patta in his name and the same has not been considered. The last representation of the petitioner dated 19.12.2023 seeking transfer of patta, has not been considered by the second respondent.

3. Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents would submit that the representation of the 2/4

petitioner would be considered in accordance with law.

4. Though this Court is not inclined to issue a positive direction to grant patta in the name of the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to consider the request of the petitioner for transfer of patta in his representation dated 19.12.2023 on merits and pass final orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
