The case of attempt murder registered in the year 2006 could not be proceeded since this petitioner remained absconding for the past 10 years. Non-bailable Warrant issued on 02.02.2015 able to be executed only on 1/4
20.05.2025. In the meanwhile, the case against the petitioner being split up and pending at PRC stage. After securing this petitioner, the case has been committed to the Court of Sessions and taken on file as S.C.No.409 of 2025. At this juncture, the petitioner seeks bail.
2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), appearing for the respondent, strongly opposed for granting bail stating that this petitioner was absconding for nearly 10 years and therefore, a crime of the year 2006 yet to see the logical end.
3.Considering the conduct of the petitioner, this Court is of the view that if the petitioner is granted bail, he will again abscond and will not be available for trial. Hence this petition stands dismissed. The trial Court is directed to take up the trial out of turn and complete it as expeditiously as possible.
