ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.1 of 2026 dated 27.03.2026 pending on the file of the first respondent / Inspector of Police, W28 AWPS, Kotturpuram, Chennai.
2. Mr.P.Kumaresan, learned Senior counsel appearing for the petitoner would submit that the petitioner is a reputed person and has served as Head of the Department in the Industrial Engineering Department, Anna University, Guindy and had put in an unblemished service for over 23 years and served in various posts. He further submitted that only to wreck vengeance, a false case has been lodged as against the petitioner by the de-facto complainant and hence, he prayed this Court to quash the FIR in Cr.No.1 of 2026.
3. In reply, the learned Government Counsel (Crl. Side) appearing on behalf of the first respondent on instructions would submit that the investigation in this case was completed and a charge sheet has already been filed before the learned IX Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai and the same is yet to be taken on file by the Court concerned.
4. In view thereof, keeping open the liberty of the petitioner to agitate his grievance, if any, after receipt of the charge sheet whenever furnished to him in the manner known to law, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
