Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a WRIT OF HABEAS CORPUS to direct the respondent to investigate the complaint of the petitioner dated 16.02.2016 and secure and produce elder daughter of petitioner, Sharmili before this Court and set her at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.] The petitioner is the father of one Ms.Sharmili. She is admittedly a major. Today, she has been produced before this Court, by the respondent police. She states that, on her own accord, she has married one Mr.Udaya Kumar, on 12.02.2016, at Pudukottai. However, she is willing to go for counselling. Mr.Udaya Kumar is also present and he is also willing to go for counselling. The petitioner and his wife are also present before this Court and they are also willing to go for counselling. 2.Having considered all the above, the matter is referred to the Mediation and Conciliation Centre attached to this Court, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

for mediation. The parties are directed to appear before the Meditation and Conciliation Centre, today, (29.02.2016) at 3.00 pm.

3.Since, the detenue is a major and considering the fact that the detenue is willing to go along with her husband, there is no need for this Court to pass any orders in this petition. Accordingly, this Habeas Corpus Petition is closed leaving it open for the parties to resolve the dispute before the Mediation Centre.
