Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.12.2020, which is sent for seeking Women Cook job in the Backward Class, Most Backward Class and DNC/Minorities Welfare Department Hostels located throughout the Kallakurichi District by giving priority for being a Destitute Widow, during process of appointment.

O R D E R

(Through Video Conferencing) I heard Mr.R.Prabudoss, the learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr.N.Inbanathan, the learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for all the four respondents.

2. The petitioner prays for a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to consider the representation dated 17.12.2020 relating to the petitioner's application for the post of Women Cook.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner applied for the post of Women Cook in the Backward Class, Most Backward Class and DNC category as regards the hostels operated by the Minorities Welfare Department throughout Kallakurichi District. Pursuant to the application, the petitioner was called for and participated in the interview on 02.12.2020. In spite of possessing the requisite qualifications, the petitioner has not been offered appointment and the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 17.12.2020 in this connection.

4. Upon consideration of the aforesaid submissions and keeping in mind the limited scope of the Writ Petition, I am inclined to dispose of the Writ Petition at the admission stage by directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 17.12.2020 of the petitioner in accordance with the applicable rules and to dispose of the same by a speaking order within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

The Writ Petition stands disposed on the above terms. No costs.
