Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records in connection with the order of detention passed by the second respondent 16.02.2016 in Memo No.126/BCDFGISSSV/2016 against the petitioner son Viji, male aged 38 years, S/o.Anbu, who is confined at Central Prison, Puzhal-II, Chennai and set aside the same and direct the respondents to produce the detenu before the Court and set him at liberty.

[Order of the Court was made by V.BHARATHIDASAN, J.] The petitioner, who is the mother of the detenu, namely, Viji, aged about 38 years, son of Anbu, has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the second respondent dated 16.02.2016 against her son branding him as a "Goonda" under Section 3(1) of the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Cyber Law Offenders, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Sand Offenders, Sexual Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982].
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the second respondent as against the son of the petitioner dated 16.02.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O.Rt.No.2320, dated 19.05.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
3. Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
