ORDER

This Writ Petition Criminal has been filed seeking a direction to the 2nd Respondent to issue Non Traceable Certificate in respect of Deed

dated 04.10.2018 bearing Document No.6178 of 2018 on the file of the Joint Sub Registrar-I, Erode, pursuant to the CSR No.50 of 2026 dated 06.06.2026 within stipulated time.

The petitioner lodged a complaint before the second respondent to trace out the missing document, viz., sale Deed dated 04.10.2018 bearing Document No.6178 of 2018 on the file of the Joint Sub Registrar-I, Erode in respect of the property, viz., residential flat measuring 1225 square feet situated on the second floor of temple Villa Apartment, Chamundi Nagar, Thindal nagar, Ward No.31, Erode corporation. On receipt of the said complaint, the 2nd respondent issued CSR No.50 of 2026 dated 06.06.2026, however, so far, no enquiry has been conducted.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that in this regard the Director General of Police already issued a circular, for the procedures to be followed for issuance of Non Traceable Certificate in respect of missing documents, thereby pleaded to grant time.

Considering the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, the second respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, if the second respondent is not able to find out the missing document, the 2nd respondent is directed to issue Non Traceable Certificate for the missing document, viz., sale Deed dated 04.10.2018 bearing Document No.6178 of 2018 on the file of the Joint Sub Registrar-I, Erode on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
