This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondent to investigate the above Crime No.643 of 2016 and to file a final report within a stipulated time frame.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. Taking into consideration the fact that the FIR has been registered only recently, no positive direction can be given to the respondent police as prayed for by the petitioner.

4. However, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation as expeditiously as possible and thereafter, file a charge sheet or closure report as the case may be, after due intimation to the de-facto complainant.
