Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, to call for the records in Detention order C3.D.O.No.10/2016 dated 16.02.2016 on the file of the 1st respondent and quash the same and direct the respondents herein to produce the body of the detenue Kamaraj M/a 30 years now confined in Central Prison, Vellore before this Hon'ble Court and set him at liberty.

[Order of the Court was made by G.CHOCKALINGAM, J.] The petitioner, who is the wife of the detenu, Kamaraj, male, aged 30 years, S/o. Thiru. Saminathan, residing at https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Vinayagar Koil Street, Chinna Pudur Village, Anaicut Taluk, Vellore District , has come forward with this petition challenging the detention order passed by the first respondent dated 16.02.2016 against her husband branding him as a "Bootlegger" under the Tamil Nadu Prevention of Dangerous Activities of Bootleggers, Cyber Law Offenders, Drug Offenders, Forest Offenders, Goondas, Immoral Traffic Offenders, Sand Offenders, Sexual Offenders, Slum Grabbers and Video Pirates Act, 1982 [Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982].

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the order of detention passed by the first respondent as against the husband of the petitioner dated 16.02.2016 has been revoked by the Government in G.O. [Rt] No.2311, dated 19.05.2016 and he has also produced a copy of the said order.
