This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to issue suitable directions to the respondent police not to harass the petitioner and his family members in the guise of registering false case under the provisions of the IPC offences.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. On a complaint given by one Parimala, petition enquiry is pending. Under such circumstances, blanket order of 'not to harass' cannot be passed. The petitioner shall cooperate in the enquiry and during the course of enquiry, he shall not be harassed. However, if any cognizable offence is made out, this order would not be a shield against the arrest of the accused.
