[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J] This petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant ordinary leave for one month to the detenu P.Eswaran s/o.N.Palanisamy, aged about 45 years, Convict No.7542, who is confined at Central Prison, Salem.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, Mr.R.Muniyapparaj, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State, produced an order dated 09.01.2022 issued by the Deputy Inspector General of Prisons, Coimbatore range, in which it is stated that thirty days ordinary leave has been granted to convict prisoner P.Eswaran.

3. In the aforestated circumstances, the prayer in this writ petition has been acceded to. Learned counsel for the petitioner also conceded the said aspect.

In view of the above, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
