Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to declare the probation of the petitioner in the post of record clerk and consequently sanction annual increment and other service benefits including promotion to the post of preservation clerk on par with juniors with consequential and other attendant benefits including arrears of salary, by considering the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 25.11.2015 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The case of the petitioner is that she has completed 8th standard. Her name was sponsored through employment exchange to the post of Record clerk in the department of Archives. She was appointed as Record Clerk vide proceedings of the first respondent in No.3548/Nir.2/2011 dated 01.08.2011. 3.The grievance of the petitioner is that though she had completed satisfactorily a period of two years. respondents have not declared probation for granting annual increments and other service benefits. The petitioner would state that she had undergone foundation course in Annamalai University and passed 10th standard examination in the month of May 2013. Therefore, she is entitled for declaration of her probation and she made a representation dated 25.11.2015 before the Commissioner, Tamil Nadu Archives and History Research, Egmore, Chennai.

4.Heard the submissions of Mr.G.Sankaran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.L.Mahendran, learned Government Advocate who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 5.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the same, directs the petitioner to submit representation to the first respondent by enclosing a copy of this order and relevant records within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the first respondents shall consider the said representation on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks thereafter and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
