By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal. 2.The petitioner claims to be the founder President of "Aghila Indiya Veerakalai Munetra Kazhagam" and the said institution is providing training in martial arts to the students and the petitioner is a Trainer for the past 40 years. The petitioner by invoking the provisions of the Right to Information Act, has sought for information from the Public Information Officer/ Under Secretary to the Government of Tamil Nadu, Youth Welfare and Sports Development Department, Secretariat, Chennai - 600 009 seeking certain particulars with regard to " The Tamil Nadu Karate Do - Association" and since no response was forthcoming, he submitted the first appeal to the second respondent Appellate Authority on 26.04.2016 and the first Appellate Authority in turn vide letter no.
1353/S1/2016 dated 03.05.2016 has informed that it has been forwarded to the concerned Public Information Officer for furnishing information. 3.
before the first respondent on 11.06.2016 and though it was received and acknowledged on 14.06.2016, no response is forthcoming and therefore, the petitioner is constrained to approach this Court by way of filing this writ petition.
4.Heard the submissions of Mr.K.Kathiresan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.Niranjan Rajagopalan, learned counsel who accepts notice on behalf of the first respondent and Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 2 and 3.
5.Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court in the light of the above facts and circumstances and without going into the merits of the same, directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's second appeal dated 11.06.2016, in accordance with law, if the papers are otherwise in order and after putting on notice, the persons concerned, shall pass orders, within a period of ten weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned.
