ORDER

[Judgment of the court was delivered by M.JAICHANDREN, J.,] This Habeas Corpus Petition, has been filed by the petitioner, praying that this Court, may be pleased to direct the 1st respondent to produce the daughter of the petitioner, viz., Kalai, before this Court and to set her at liberty. The petitioner has stated that the detenue Kalai, was married to one Sengan and that she had three children. She had gone missing on 31.12.2015. The petitioner would state that the 2nd respondent herein, viz., Balu @ Balamurugan, who is a resident of Kaikolathur Village, Perambalur District, had abducted her and is keeping her in illegal custody. Therefore, she had made a complaint before the 1st respondent and the said complaint had been given CSR.No.19/2016.

respondent had not taken effective steps to trace the detenue, the petitioner has filed this Habeas Corpus Petition before this Court.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing on behalf of the 1st respondent, would submit that, the 1st respondent would investigate the matter and take necessary steps to trace the detenue.

In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, appearing on behalf of the 1st respondent, we are of the view that no further orders are necessary in this petition.

Accordingly, the Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed.
