ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] Seeking a direction to the first respondent to produce the body of petitioner's daughter R.Pavithra, aged about 21 years before this Court and to set her at liberty, the present habeas corpus petition has been filed.

2.It is the case of the petitioner that his daughter Pavithra, aged about 21 years went missing from 18.12.2020 and that the police have not taken effective steps to secure her. 3.Today, on instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint given by the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petitioner, a case in Kavarapettai Police Station Crime No.1740 of 2020 for 'woman missing' was registered by the police. During investigation, it came to light that Pavithra was in love with one Vicky and had eloped with him. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that Pavithra has been secured by the police and she is likely to be produced before the Judicial Magistrate, Gummidipoondi.

4.Recording the same, this habeas corpus petition stands closed with a direction to the police to produce the detenue before the jurisdictional Magistrate and the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders with regard to the custody.
