Challenging the order of the 1st respondent in G.O.(2D) No.358, Home (Pol.V) Department, dated 14.06.2006 rejecting the revision filed by the petitioner against the order of punishment of compulsory retirement imposed in PR No.19 of 2001, the petitioner is now before this court.

2. Today, when the matter came up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner sought permission of this court to withdraw the writ petition. He has also made an endorsement to that effect. Permission is accordingly granted.
