ORDER

Seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Namakkal, to expedite the committal proceedings in PRC No.53 of 2015, the petitioner, who is A2 in the case, has come up with this original petition.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that committal proceedings was completed as early as on 04.01.2016 and the case was also committed to the Court of Sessions, Namakkal Division, but, on account of some defects in the records, the records have been sent back for rectification. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that the committal court has now rectified the defects and resubmitted the records to the Court of Sessions, Namakkal Division.

3. Under such circumstances, this court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Namakkal to complete the committal proceedings, if not already completed within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

provided there is no other legal impediment.

4. In the result, this petition is dismissed with the above directions.
