This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to investigate the case in Crime No.489 of 2018 and to file a final report within a stipulated time frame.

2. Heard learned counsel appearing for petitioner and learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of respondent.

3. Learned counsel appearing for petitioner would submit that though the respondent has registered a case in the above said crime number on 05.09.2018, no final report is filed till date.

4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent would submit that the respondent police may be permitted to file final report within a period of one month.

5. In view of the above, the respondent police is directed to either file a final report or closure report, as the case may be, within a period of one 2/4

(1) month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order under due intimation to the de facto complainant.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
