THE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE M.NIRMAL KUMAR Crl.M.P.No.14279 of 2025 in Ajith @ Karuppu Ajith ... Petitioner/A5 Vs.

State rep.by, The Inspector of Police, M-4, Redhills Police Station, Tiruvallur.

... Respondent PRAYER : Criminal Miscellaneous Petition filed under Section 528 of BNSS, praying to modify the condition that Para No.6 imposed by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.17980 of 2025 dated 23.06.2025. For Petitioner :

Mr. D.Sugumar For Respondent :

Mr. C.Baskaran Government Advocate (Crl.side) ***********

O R D E R

It is seen that the petitioner was granted bail by this Court on 23.06.2025. One of the conditions imposed was that the petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rs.25,000/- by way of Demand Draft in favour of Ray of Light Foundation, and further, execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- with 1/4

two blood-related sureties to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Ponneri, along with other conditions.

2. Since the petitioner's parents (mother and father) had passed away a long time ago, and he has no strong family ties, he is unable to produce any blood-related sureties. However, the petitioner is willing to deposit a sum of Rs.25,000/- to Ray of Light Foundation. Hence, he seeks relaxation of the condition requiring blood-related sureties.

3. It is also noted that though the petitioner was granted bail on 23.06.2025, he continues to remain in custody for more than a month due to his inability to comply with the surety condition, which he finds burdensome given his personal circumstances.

4. In view of the above, this Court is inclined to modify the bail condition. The petitioner shall deposit a sum of Rs.25,000/- to Ray of Light Foundation within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner shall also execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties, not necessarily blood-related, to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Ponneri. 04.08.2025 nvi 2/4
