The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 14.07.2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 201, 302, 364 of IPC and altered into Sections 120(b), 147, 148, 201, 302, 364 of IPC in Crime No.137 of 2022, seeks bail.

2. There are totally nine accused and the petitioner is arrayed as A5. It is alleged that the case of the prosecution is that, the petitioner along with other accused persons, due to previous enmity, attacked the defacto complainant's son using knife and thereby murdered him. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 14.07.2022. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that, apart from this case, there are three previous cases pending against him and further there is a proposal for detaining the petitioner under goondas act. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the gravity of the offence committed by the petitioner and also considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner having three previous cases pending against him and there is a proposal for detaining the petitioner under goondas act, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners.
