This petition has been filed to issue a direction, directing the second respondent not to harass the petitioner in the name of enquiry.
2. The petitioner's son viz., Ramakrishnan is married to one Sangeetha in the year 2012 and living happily. The petitioner's son is employed in an Oil Industry and his daughter-in-law is a female nurse and both of them employed in Abu Dhabi. Later some dispute arose between them, for which,
his daughter-in-law lodged a complaint against her husband Ramakrishnan in Abu Dhabi. All the complaints were later closed. However, the dispute between them is still pursuing. During March, 2021, the petitioner's son had come to India along with his two minor sons, aged about 8 years and 5 years and they were enrolled in Vellammal School in Chennai. Later the petitioner's son Ramakrishnan left to Dubai. Admittedly, the dispute between the petitioner's son and his daughter-in-law was in Dubai. However, earlier a complaint was lodged by the respondents 3 and 4, who are the father and brother of the said Sangeetha, before the All Women Police Station, Chengam. The petitioner was called for enquiry and he gave statement, but he was assaulted. Hence, the petitioner had filed Crl.O.P.No.2029 of 2021 and this Court by the order dated 22.11.
2021 recorded that the petitioner is not required for any enquiry and the case was closed. Thereafter, the fourth respondent now lodged a complaint with the second respondent and the petitioner was called for enquiry on 16.10.2021 and he gave his explanation. The dispute between the petitioner's son and his daughter-in-law is with regard to the admission of his grand-sons in Vellammal School in Chennai. However, the respondent Police have been constantly harassing the petitioner in the guise of enquiry. Hence, this petition.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that there is some matrimonial dispute between the petitioner' son and his daughter-in-law. Further in the complaint, it was stated that the grand-sons were in the illegal custody of the petitioner. On verification of the same, it is found that the petitioner's son Ramakrishnan only got admission for his minor children and the petitioner is nothing to do with the same.
4. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
