The prayer in the present writ petition is to call for the records relating to the proceedings bearing Roc.No.52/2008/A7/T1, dated 29.05.2008 on the files of the 1st respondent and quash the same in so far as it relates to the 4th respondent and consequently direct the 1st respondent to entrust the work of delivery and supply of Deep Borewell/Open Well Submersible pump sets, panel boards flat cables, Copper wire to the Village Panchayat/Panchayat Unions in Salem District to the petitioner.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the is not pressing this writ petition and he has also made an endorsement to the effect:

"The relief sought for has become infructuous and the writ petition may be disposed of as not pressed."

3. In view of the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as not pressed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
