With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondent to issue patta for the land measuring 38 cents in Old S.No.57, New S.No.57/2 of Old Gummidipoondi Village, Gummidipoondi Taluk, Tiruvallur District by considering the application of the petitioner dated 08.06.2024.

3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent and perused the materials available on record.

4. The case of the petitioner is that he is the absolute owner of the property to an extent of 38 cents in Old S.No.57, New Survey No.57/2 in Old Gummidipoondi Village vide sale deed 21.04.1999. The further case of the petitioner is that when the petitioner took steps to mutate the revenue records, he came to know that the survey number has been wrongly mentioned as Survey No.57 instead of 57/2 and the respondent refused to mutate the revenue records as the survey number in the property differs. Therefore, the petitioner filed a suit in O.S.No.1 of 2023 and the same was decreed in favour of the petitioner on 10.10.2023. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted an online application dated 08.06.2024 for transfer of patta in the name of the petitioner. However, the same 2/4

has not been considered by the respondent. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 08.06.2024 and the judgment and decree passed in O.S.No.1 of 2023 on the file of the District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Gummidipoondi and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
