Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus to direct respondents 1 to 3 herein to produce the body of the detenu S.Nandini, daughter of P.Sridhar, aged about 16 years, now detained under the custody of 4th and 5th respondent and set the detenue at liberty forthwith.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This Habeas Corpus Petition is filed by the father of the detenue, S.Nandhini for a direction to the respondents to produce the detenue before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that his daughter S.Nandhini, aged about 16 years (date of birth - 13.10.1999) was studying +1 went missing on 29.11.2015, in connection with which a case in Crime No.4129 of 2015 for girl missing has been registered by the third respondent police. The allegation of the petitioner is that the respondent police neither trace his daughter nor made any investigation to secure the minor girl. Hence, he filed the present Habeas Corpus Petition.

3. Today, when the matter was called, the respondent - police, have produced the detenue before this Court. The parents of the detenue are also present before this Court.

4. On enquiry, the detenue submits that she left her parental home and went to live with her paternal aunt, with whom her family was not in good terms. She further stated that she wants to go back to her parents and continue her studies.

5. Recording the above statement, the detenue is handed over to her parents. Accordingly, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
