ORDER
The case has been registered in Crime No. 04/AC/2021 against the petitioner, who is a public servant, for the alleged possession of 1/4
disproportionate asset to the known source of income. 2.
The accused has come forward to seek direction to the Investigating Agency to complete the investigation and file a final report within prescribed time, since the investigation is prolonged unnecessarily causing prejudice to the petitioner.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) says that the investigation substantially completed and the Final Opportunity Notice is given to explain the source of income for the suspected asset held by him. As soon as the reply received from the petitioner/accused final report will be filed. At any event, it will not take 3 months time. 4.
Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the direction to the petitioner to respond to the Final Opportunity Notice forthwith. On receipt of the explanation from A1, the respondent police shall complete the investigation and file the final report within a period of 2 months.
