ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Ms.N.Gayathri, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader, assisted by Mr.K.Karthik Jegannath, learned Government Advocate, for respondents 1 and 2.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that respondent No.4 has constructed the panchayat building abutting the bridge. Because of the construction of the building, the flooding of water takes place in the houses of the local persons.

3. The learned State Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that the land in S.No.663/19 is a vacant land. The panchayat building is constructed on the said vacant land for public purpose. No rules are violated.

4. It is for the authorities to consider if any illegal construction has been made. The authorities shall verify the same. With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
