PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, to direct the third respondent to produce the petitioner's daughter namely Deepika, W/o.Muruganantham, aged about 34 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

ORDER

(Order of this Court was made by M.S.RAMESH.J,) When the petitioner's daughter went missing on 14.05.2025, she had given a complaint on 17.05.2025 to the third respondent, which was registered in Crime No.191 of 2025 under the caption "women missing". Since there was no progress in the investigation to trace the petitioner's daughter, the present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed.

2. Today, when the matter was called, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the complaint preferred by the petitioner has been registered in Crime No.191 of 2025 as 'women missing' and that the third respondent police is proceeding with the complaint to locate the petitioner's daughter.

3. Since the third respondent had registered the petitioner's complaint

and is in the process of proceeding with the complaint, we deem it fit to direct the third respondent to expedite the complaint and file a final report.

4. In view of this decision, the prayer sought for in the present Habeas Corpus Petition does not require consideration. Accordingly, there shall be a direction to the third respondent herein to expedite the complaint in Crime No.191 of 2025 and file a final report as expeditiously as possible.

5. In view of the above direction, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
