ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking direction to the learned Sessions Judge, Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases registered under SC & ST Atrocities Act at Villupuram, Villupuram District, to accept the surrender of the petitioners in Crime No.103 of 2025 on the file of the second respondent Police and to consider the bail petition on the same day itself.
2. The prayer sought for in this Criminal Original Petition is innocuous in nature, and as such, this petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself, without ordering notice to the third respondent.
3. Considering the nature of accusations made and the gravity of allegations contained therein, this Court directs the petitioners to serve advance notice of the surrender petition on the prosecution as well as on the third respondent. The respondent Police shall ensure due service of the said notice on the third respondent. Thereafter, the petitioners are at liberty to file their surrender petition along with the bail application and the same shall be taken up, considered and orders be passed by the learned Sessions Judge, Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases registered under SC & ST Atrocities Act, Villupuram District, on merits on the same day of their surrender.
4. Accordingly, the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed. No costs.
