(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences under Sections 407, 420, 483, 485, 488, 489 and 506(ii) IPC in Crime No.1558 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.
2. Heard both sides.
3. It is seen from the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), the allegation against the petitioner is that the de-facto complainant has been running a cool drinks company in the name and style of "LOVE-ONE" after getting trademark registration and selling the cool drinks in the area of Thirupathur, Vellore, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri and other districts. The petitioner who is the first accused in this case along with one G.P.Kumar @ Vijayakumar have been collecting empty bottles of "LOVE-ONE" brand and fill it with spurious cool drink manufactured by him and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
selling it in the name of "LONE-O". Thus causing and exposing the public to endanger of spurious drinks and health hazards. In this case, FIR was registered on 15.12.2020 and it is submitted by the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) that the investigation is in preliminary stage.
5. Considering the nature of the allegations against the petitioner and also of the fact that the investigation in this case is at nascent stage, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
