ORDER
By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. In view of the order that this Court proposes to pass and also the limited relief that is sought to be granted, notice to the 5th Respondent is dispensed with.
2. The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus challenging the order passed by the of 2nd respondent vide File No.2025/0154 /07/000084 dated 20.06.2025, whereby petitioner's request for issuance of patta in respect of the property comprised in Survey No.135/1C measuring an extent of 0.33 cents out of 1.72 acres situated at Rosanai Village, Tindivanam Taluk, Villupuram District was rejected.
3. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner's husband executed a settlement deed in favour of petitioner on 26.12.2024 2/6
registered as Document No.2384 of 2024 on the file of SRO, Joint-I Tindivanam. It is further stated that the impugned proceedings is non-speaking as it does not assign any reasons, the relevant portions of the order is extracted hereunder: Town Survey No.

At this juncture, Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents would submit that orders would be passed afresh assigning reasons after affording the petitioner, 5th respondent and other interested parties a reasonable opportunity of hearing within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. Agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.
5. In view thereof, the impugned order is set aside. The writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the appropriate respondent to pass orders afresh assigning reasons/ speaking order after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, 5th respondent and other interested parties/rival claimants, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of uploading of web copy without waiting for the receipt of certified copy. It is made clear that this Court 3/6
has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the case on its own merits and in accordance with law. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
