ORDER

The petitioner has filed this petition seeking direction to the learned Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases under the SC/ST (PoA) Act, Tirupathur to consider the bail application of the petitioner on the same day of his surrender in connection with Crime No.296 of 2026 dated 08.06.2026 on the file of the 2nd respondent police.

2.The case of the prosecution is that, on 07.06.2026, the victim, along with his friends, went to a shop to purchase snacks. Thereafter, one of them attempted to make payment through Google Pay; however, the transaction was unsuccessful. Consequently, they sought the mobile number of the woman running the shop in order to transfer the amount directly to her Google Pay account. At that time, the petitioner and some others questioned the same, and there was a wordy quarrel, during which they abused him using his caste name. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the specific allegation against the petitioner is that, on 07.06.2026, during the course of a wordy quarrel that arose at the shop, the petitioner threatened the de facto complainant and abused him using his caste name. 4.In view of the above factual position, there shall be a direction to the Special Court for Exclusive Trial of Cases under the SC/ST (PoA) Act, Tirupathur, to consider the petitioner's bail application, preferably on the same day of his surrender, in connection with Crime No.296 of 2026 on the file of the second respondent Police and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity to the victims under Section 15-A of the SC/ST (POA) Act, 1989. The petitioner shall surrender before the jurisdictional Court

concerned within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
