ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) Alleging that several encroachments are put up by the hawkers obstructing the passage to the Allikulam Shopping Complex, the petitioner sent a representation to the respondent authorities on 6.7.2024. As no action was taken based on the said representation and the encroachments still continue to exist causing undue hardship to the public at large, the present writ petition is filed.

2. Heard learned counsel on either side and perused the documents and photographs filed in support of the writ petition.

3. Considering the narrow scope of the prayer made in the writ petition, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, we direct the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 6.7.2024 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, of course, after affording an opportunity to all persons who are likely to be affected by the proposed action.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.
