(The Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble The Chief Justice) The petitioner alleges that a portion of a Highway Bridge collapsed on 02.01.2016, with the result the lower bridge is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

used causing heavy traffic congestion. Representation in this behalf has been made by the petitioner to the third respondent on 20.07.2016.

2.The aforesaid cannot be a subject matter of a Public Interest Litigation, as the High Court cannot allocate budget for it. However, it is a matter of public convenience, and thus, the State Highways Department should look into the issue, so that necessary arrangements can be made.

3. Mr.M.K.Subramanian, learned Government Pleader states that the second respondent will bestow consideration on this issue and take necessary action within two months from the date of receipt of this order.

4. The writ petition is thus closed, leaving the parties to bear their own costs.
