Criminal Original Petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the 1st respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner and her family members, who are residing at B-3, Golden Mannor Apartment Opposite to Vinayagar Temple Kalpatti Main Road, Nehru Nagar, Coimbatore - 641 014 on the basis of the complaint dated 18.10.2021.

ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the first respondent police to provide police protection to the petitioner and her family members.

2. The contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the petitioner received threat from one Ashok Anand, who visited the petitioner's house on 17.10.2021 that he will be kidnapping the petitioner and her daughter. Hence, the petitioner lodged a complaint but no action has been taken. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submits that https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the petitioner had sent the complaint through post on 25.10.2021. The petitioner was called for enquiry to verify the veracity of the complaint but the petitioner failed to appear. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submits that the petitioner is ready and willing to appear before the respondent police and furnish a copy of the complaint and give explanation in support of the complaint. 5.In view of the same, the petitioner is directed to appear before the respondent police on 22.11.2021 and thereafter, the respondent police is directed to enquire and proceed with in according to law.

6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
